Report illegal content

If you believe something hosted on Joinly is illegal, tell us here. This is our notice-and-action mechanism under Article 16 of the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), and anyone may use it — you do not need an account.

Where is the content? *

Article 16(2)(b) asks for the exact electronic location. A full URL is best; if the content is inside a community, give the creator's page and describe where.

Why do you believe it is illegal? *

At least 30 characters. Article 16(2)(a) requires a sufficiently substantiated explanation — "this is illegal" on its own is not something we can act on.

We use your name and email only to confirm receipt, tell you our decision, and ask for clarification if we need it. If we restrict content as a result, we may have to tell the affected creator that a report was made — we do not pass on your contact details unless the law requires it.

What happens to your report

We confirm receipt immediately, by email, with a reference number — unless you chose to report anonymously.
We review the notice ourselves, in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective way. No automated tool makes the decision.
We decide what to do. Options range from taking no action, through contacting the creator, to removing content or suspending an account. We act proportionately — removal is not the automatic first step.
We tell you the outcome and the reasons for it, and what you can do if you disagree.
If we restrict anything, we give the affected creator a statement of reasons under Article 17, and they can contest it with us, before a court, or before the conciliation board.

Point of contact for authorities: Member State authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services can reach us at the same address, and we will respond by the fastest electronic means.

Complaints about how we handled a report: write to support@getjoinly.com. You may also complain to the Digital Services Coordinator of the member state where our EU legal representative is established — the coordinators are listed at https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/dsa-dscs.

This form is for content you believe is illegal. For content that breaks our own rules but is not unlawful, or for anything else, use the contact page. Our rules on what may be sold through Joinly are in the Terms of Service.
